Per Diem

Per Diem Opportunities

Document Scanning Technician
Compensation: $18.00 per hour
Scan and save client files, ensuring adherence to confidentiality policies and HIPAA laws.
Pantry Worker
Compensation: $18.00 per hour
Assist with deliveries, stock organization, customer orders, and cleaning in the food pantry and office areas.
Outreach Worker

Compensation: $20.00 per hour
Assist with event setup, recruit candidates, assist clients with paperwork, and distribute materials.

Tester/Counselor
Compensation: $22.00 per hour ($25.00 per hour for Certified Phlebotomist)
Conduct screenings, provide counseling, referrals, and distribute materials.
Expectations:

• Attend Project Vida Per Diem orientation.
• Arrive on time for shifts; late arrivals, no-call-no-shows, or early departures may result in suspension or termination.
• Check-in with the team lead at the start and end of each shift.
• Cancel shifts at least 48 hours in advance by contacting the team lead.
• Provide your own transportation.

Career Opportunities

Salary: $45-55K Annually – Reports To: Prevention Coordinator – Job Type: Full-Time

JOB SUMMARY
The Community Event and Resource Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the LinkUp Chicago initiative. As the primary contact for the initiative, the Community Event and Resource Coordinator leads efforts to develop and nurture relationships with the community gatekeepers and frontline staff members who work with other community-based organizations that serve Black gay, bisexual men (Black GBMSM) throughout the city of Chicago and in the surrounding suburbs. The Community Event and Resource Coordinator also oversees the scheduling of the initiative’s hotline and providing technical support to the LinkUp Chicago collective (e.g., coordinating meetings, note-taking, and event planning).

JOB SUMMARY
As a certified DRS Case Manager, you’ll provide intensive client-centered home base case management Services, which include coordination of in-home care and daily living assistance for HIV/AIDS disabled clients. You will work with the client’s medical provider and in-home service provider to ensure the client’s ability to maintain care in the community where they reside. The DRS case manager will provide treatment adherence counseling and assist the client in connecting to other core services. You will also provide individual and group behavioral health counseling/therapy. As the DRS Case Manager, you can also contribute to the success of Project VIDA by lending a hand when needed, showing flexibility, paying attention to details, adapting to changes when needed, and thinking of your role as a part of the larger Project VIDA team rather than exclusive.

Salary: $55-65K Annually – Reports To: Executive Director Department – Job Type: Full-Time

JOB SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of the Prevention Coordinator is to oversee the success of all programs housed within the Prevention Services department. These include outreach, HIV/STI testing, PrEP, COVID-19 prevention and research, Hep C, and substance use services. Within Project VIDA’s small-agency structure, the Project Coordinator works hands-on as the agency’s senior community engagement coordinator and outreach specialist to meet operational demands. This includes direct service to clients, program management, and team mentorship. The Prevention Coordinator is also considered a senior staff member who works directly with the Executive Director and Clinical Supervisor of Care Services to ensure agency productivity and sustainability.
